Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using WidgetAI. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use WidgetAI.
These Terms also act as the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) for the WidgetAI app, in place of Apple's standard licence agreement. Section 15 contains the terms Apple requires us to include.

1. Agreement to these terms
By using WidgetAI you confirm that you are at least 13 years old; that if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use of the app; that you have read our Privacy Policy; and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
In parts of the EEA and the UK the age at which you can consent to online services on your own is higher than 13 (it ranges from 13 to 16). If you are below that age in your country, your parent or guardian must give consent for you to use the features that rely on it.
WidgetAI is provided by an independent developer based in Saudi Arabia. Contact details are in section 23.
2. What WidgetAI is
WidgetAI is an iOS app for designing home screen and Lock Screen widgets, on your own or with AI. It includes AI chat and a manual editor, real iOS widgets in every size, live data from the sources you switch on, Smart Widgets that change on conditions you set, a template gallery and design tools, and a free tier alongside a paid WidgetAI Pro subscription.
WidgetAI is for your personal, non-commercial use. It is a design tool: it displays information from other apps for convenience, and is not a medical, fitness, financial, scheduling, or safety product. Never rely on a widget for anything that matters — check the source app.
3. Your account
- You can try WidgetAI without an account. Saving designs and using AI features require one.
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current — it's how we reach you about your subscription and any changes to these Terms.
- One account per person. Don't sell, share, or transfer your account.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time: Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account. Deleting is permanent and forfeits any unused credits and referral rewards.
4. AI features and AI-generated content
WidgetAI's chat, design and image generation, Color Match, Home Screen Doctor, and Quick Adjustments are powered by artificial intelligence — currently Google's Gemini models. You are interacting with an automated system, not a person.
Output is generated, and it can be imperfect
- AI works from patterns, so similar prompts can produce similar designs for different people. No result is guaranteed to be unique.
- Generated text, numbers, and layouts may be wrong or nonsensical. Review a design before you rely on it.
- Images generated through Gemini carry Google's SynthID watermark and C2PA metadata marking them as AI-generated. Don't remove those markings, or present AI-generated content as human-made where that would mislead someone.
Who owns what you generate
As between you and us, designs and images you generate are yours. You are responsible for the prompts you write and how you use the results, including that an output doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
Safety
Content safety filters apply to every request, but no filter is perfect. If WidgetAI produces something harmful or inappropriate, report it to support.widgetai@gmail.com. We may limit or block AI access for an account that abuses it (sections 5 and 17).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use WidgetAI for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else's rights
- Generate or attempt to generate content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent, or that depicts or endangers a minor
- Attempt to defeat the AI's safeguards, extract our system prompts, or use the app to build a competing model or dataset
- Impersonate anyone, or use another person's likeness or personal data without their permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app, except where the law expressly permits it
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools against the app or our servers, or interfere with them in any way
- Circumvent credit limits, rate limits, subscription checks, or ad-reward caps, including by creating multiple accounts
- Sell, rent, or sublicense the app, your account, your credits, or your referral rewards
We may investigate suspected breaches and take the steps in section 17. Serious cases — anything involving child safety in particular — may be reported to the relevant authorities.
6. AI credits
AI features consume credits, and different actions cost different amounts (generating a widget costs more than a colour tweak). The app always shows the cost before you spend, and your balance is visible in the app.
- How you get them. Creating a free account includes a one-off allowance. Pro includes a generous monthly allowance. You may also earn credits through referrals, or by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. Credits are not sold separately.
- No cash value. Credits are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use AI features. They are not money, not property, and not a stored-value or payment instrument. They cannot be sold, traded, gifted, transferred between accounts, or exchanged for cash or anything else of value.
- Not separately refundable. Except where your local consumer law says otherwise, credits are non-refundable, including credits included with a subscription. Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple (section 9).
- Expiry. A Pro monthly allowance covers that month and does not roll over. One-off and bonus credits remain while your account is open. All credits are forfeited if you delete your account or if we terminate it for a breach of these Terms.
- Changes. We may change what actions cost, or the size of an allowance, as models and their costs change. If a change reduces what you get under an active paid subscription, we'll tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.
- If something fails. If a request fails through our fault, we return the credits. If it fails because the request breached section 5, we may not.
7. Subscriptions & billing
WidgetAI Pro unlocks a generous monthly AI allowance, unlimited saved widgets, the Pro fonts, elements, and templates, a higher daily chat limit, and an ad-free app.
- Plans: weekly, monthly, or annual — your choice.
- Price: shown in your local currency on the purchase screen before you confirm. Prices vary by region and may change; the price you see at the moment you subscribe is the price you pay for that period.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID through the App Store when you confirm.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel. Apple processes renewals up to 24 hours before the period ends — so cancel at least a day early rather than on the final day.
- Managing it: everything — plan changes, cancellation, payment method — lives in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → WidgetAI. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf; only Apple can.
- Price changes: Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before a higher price takes effect. If you don't consent, the subscription won't renew.
8. Free trial
Where a free trial is offered on your plan, the app states its exact length on the purchase screen before you confirm. Nothing is due when the trial starts.
When the trial ends, your chosen plan begins and Apple charges your Apple ID — unless you cancel before the trial is over. Cancelling takes under a minute: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → WidgetAI → Cancel Subscription. Cancel during the trial and you are charged nothing. Trials are limited to one per person and per Apple ID, and Apple decides eligibility.
9. Cancellation & refunds
Cancellation. Cancel any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for; we don't claw it back early.
Refunds. Apple is the seller for App Store purchases, so Apple handles refunds under its own policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Email us at support.widgetai@gmail.com too — if something went wrong on our side we will support your request and, where we can, fix the underlying problem.
If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. That right is lost once supply begins with your consent, which is what happens when you start using Pro immediately after purchasing. Apple administers this right as the seller. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer right you have where you live.
10. Advertising & rewarded ads
- The free tier may show a limited number of ads, served by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads, and we never allow health, calendar, reminder, contact, or location-history data to be used for ad targeting. See the Privacy Policy.
- WidgetAI may offer you the choice to watch a short ad in exchange for credits. It is always optional — nothing in the app requires you to watch an ad — and there are daily and monthly caps.
- You must not attempt to fake ad views, click your own ads, or automate ad interactions. Doing so forfeits the credits earned and may result in termination.
- WidgetAI Pro removes ads.
- We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites they lead to.
11. Referral program
You can invite friends with a personal invite code. When a friend creates and verifies a new account with your code, they receive bonus credits; you receive bonus credits once they reach their first real milestone in the app.
- Invite codes are for new users. You can't refer yourself, use a second device or email to claim your own bonus, or refer an account that already exists.
- There are limits on how many rewards one account can earn, and rewards may be held for review before they are granted.
- We use a hashed device identifier as an anti-abuse check — see the Privacy Policy.
- Referral credits follow section 6: no cash value, non-transferable, not refundable.
- We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through fake accounts, automation, bought traffic, spam, or any other abuse, and may suspend accounts that do it.
- We may change or end the program at any time. Credits already granted stay granted.
13. Ownership & licence
Ours
WidgetAI — the app, its name, its design system, its templates, its curated content, and its underlying software — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Usage Rules and these Terms. That licence ends if these Terms end.
Yours
Your widget designs, your prompts, and your photos are yours. We claim no ownership. We store and display them only as needed to run the service for you — for example, syncing your designs to your devices, rendering them on your home screen, and making a share link work. Delete a design, or your account, and that permission ends.
Artwork we licence
Not everything in the app is ours. The illustration library comes from Game Icons under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence, and the fonts come from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License. Those licences let you use the artwork in the widgets you design here, including ones you share. The artists are named in the app under Settings → Credits.
Feedback
If you send us a suggestion or feature request, we may use it freely to improve WidgetAI without owing you anything. You keep any rights you already had in it.
14. Third-party services & the data you connect
WidgetAI relies on Supabase, Google (Gemini and Firebase), Apple, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Open-Meteo, Cloudinary, and Brevo. Your use of them through WidgetAI is also subject to their terms. We choose our providers carefully but we don't control them, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Connecting a data source — Apple Health, Location, Calendar, Reminders, or Contacts — gives WidgetAI permission to read it on your device to display on your widgets, and to include current values in AI requests so a design can be built around real ones (the Privacy Policy covers what that sends). With your permission two features write back: water taps log hydration to Apple Health, and habits become recurring reminders. You can turn any of this off in Settings → Live Data or iOS Settings, effective immediately.
WidgetAI also records anonymous usage analytics — which screens you open, how long you spend on them, which options you choose, and whether a purchase completes — through Google Firebase Analytics, so we can see what works and fix what doesn't. It never includes your prompts, your designs, your photos, or the values read from the sources you connect. Privacy Policy §2 has the detail.
15. Apple & the App Store
This section applies because you obtained WidgetAI from Apple's App Store, and contains terms Apple requires. In it, “Licensed Application” means the WidgetAI app.
- Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and WidgetAI only, not with Apple. WidgetAI, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content.
- Scope of licence. The licence granted in section 13 is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, except that it may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. WidgetAI is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty. WidgetAI is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application.
- Product claims. WidgetAI, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with its use of HealthKit.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the Licensed Application infringes their intellectual property rights, WidgetAI, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Questions, complaints, or claims about the Licensed Application should go to support.widgetai@gmail.com.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the Licensed Application.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
16. Availability & changes to the app
We work to keep WidgetAI available and up to date, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the app; if we discontinue something material that your active paid subscription relies on, we'll give you reasonable notice and you may cancel. WidgetAI also depends on Apple's platform, the data sources you connect, and third-party AI — if one of those changes or becomes unavailable, some features may stop working through no fault of ours.
17. Suspension & termination
By you: stop using the app any time, cancel your subscription in iOS Settings, and delete your account in Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account.
By us: we may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use poses a genuine risk to the service or to other people. Except where a breach is serious or urgent — for example anything involving child safety, fraud, or an attack on our systems — we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it. Where we terminate an account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a paid subscription period.
On termination your licence ends and unused credits are forfeited. Sections 13, 15, and 18 to 21 survive.
18. Disclaimers
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
Widgets display information — health, weather, calendar, reminders — for convenience only. WidgetAI is not a medical device and gives no medical, health, fitness, financial, or professional advice. Always verify anything important in the source app, and never use a widget where being wrong would matter.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
19. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIDGETAI IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
Liability cap. Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the six (6) months before the claim arose, or USD $100.
What we never limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WidgetAI from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or content you generate or share through them. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply to consumers where local law prohibits it.
21. Disputes & governing law
Talk to us first
Almost everything is solvable by email. Before starting formal proceedings, contact support.widgetai@gmail.com with a description of the problem and what you'd like us to do. Both of us agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days.
Governing law
WidgetAI is operated from Saudi Arabia, and our handling of personal data is subject to the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law. These Terms and the licence to use the app are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules — the same law Apple applies to apps licensed through the App Store.
Consumers keep their home law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland, the governing law and the competent courts are those of your usual place of residence, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of the mandatory protections of your local law. The same applies anywhere else that your local consumer law says so.
Where claims are brought
Subject to the paragraph above, if informal resolution fails, you and WidgetAI agree that disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration seated in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of a recognised arbitration provider, rather than in court. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
- Individual basis only. Claims must be brought individually, not as a class, collective, or representative action, and an arbitrator may not consolidate claims.
- You can opt out. You may reject this arbitration agreement by emailing support.widgetai@gmail.com with the subject line “Arbitration opt-out” within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out costs you nothing and changes nothing else about your account; disputes will then be heard by the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
- Where it doesn't apply. This arbitration agreement does not apply where it is prohibited or unenforceable under the law that governs your relationship with us — including for consumers covered by the paragraph above.
- Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking an injunction to stop the misuse of intellectual property.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the app and the law change. If a change is material — anything affecting your rights, your money, or your data — we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use WidgetAI after that means you accept the update; if you don't, cancel and delete your account. The “Last updated” date always reflects the current version.
23. Contact us
For anything about these Terms, your account, or a dispute:
If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about WidgetAI. You may not assign them; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger or sale, on notice to you.
